Empower Your Business with Expert Coaching: A Punchy Podcast with Jennifer Bauldic of Jetstream Administration Inc.

Introduction

Have you ever wondered what would you do if you won $43 million? For Jennifer Bauldic, a dream turned into the start of a business plan that has been transforming bookkeeping operations for over 14 years.

Welcome back to another episode of Mastery Fractional CFO's Punchy Podcast, where we have short, impactful discussions with business leaders from various industries. In this episode, host Ryan Chenier, founder and CEO of Mastery Fractional CFO Services, is joined by Jennifer Bauldic, owner of Jetstream Administration Inc. Jennifer shares her expertise in helping businesses, particularly bookkeepers, streamline their operations and achieve greater success.

Jennifer’s tagline, "giving your business a lift," speaks to her mission of improving business profitability and empowering bookkeepers and accountants to excel at what they do best while managing their businesses more effectively.

From a Lottery Dream to Business Coaching Reality

Jennifer’s journey into business ownership and business coaching is both relatable and inspiring. As she recalls, the idea for Jetstream Administration came to her one Friday night while dreaming about what she would do with a $43 million lottery win. Although she didn’t hit the jackpot, she used that vision to craft a business plan—ultimately turning Jetstream Administration into a business that has been helping companies streamline their operations for over 14 years.

Who Does Jetstream Administration Serve?

Jennifer explains that her business focuses on two key segments: bookkeepers and accountants. Many bookkeepers and accountants excel in their craft but struggle with the business side of things—whether it's managing workflows, finding the right tools, or simply having the confidence to grow their practice. Jennifer steps in as a non-equity partner to guide them through these challenges, providing workflows and apps that amplify their efficiency and give their businesses a lift.

Her approach is centered on helping business owners realize their potential by introducing small changes that can make a significant impact. "Everyone I work with has some success under their belt," Jennifer explains. "My job is to amplify it and help them reach the next level."

By focusing on bookkeepers and accountants, Jennifer empowers them to not only run their businesses more efficiently but also increase their profits and scale sustainably.

Common Triggers for Reaching Out

Do you feel isolated in running your business? Or perhaps you're stuck in the hamster wheel, seeing the next level but struggling to reach it? These are the kinds of challenges that Jennifer addresses every day.

Jennifer’s Passion for Business

When asked what drives her passion for business, Jennifer candidly shares that her own failures and successes have shaped her approach. She’s experienced both the highs and lows of running a business and uses that experience to guide her clients. "Losing a client doesn't mean your business is over, and winning three clients doesn't mean you can coast," she says. Her practical, no-nonsense advice resonates with clients facing similar struggles, offering a guiding hand through every business change and challenge.

Key Advice: Stop, Think, Organize, and Proceed

Jennifer shares a key piece of advice for business owners: follow the STOP method, which stands for Stop, Think, Organize, and Proceed. She emphasizes the importance of business owners taking a moment to step back and assess what their business needs, rather than always putting others first. Just like on an airplane, you need to put on your own oxygen mask before helping others. Taking care of your business first ensures you can serve your clients and team to the best of your ability.

Ask the Fractional CFO

At the end of the podcast, Jennifer poses a thoughtful question to Ryan: How does a CFO collaborate with a bookkeeping team to best serve the business owner? Ryan explains that the CFO provides executive-level leadership and financial oversight, ensuring that the business’s financial roadmap aligns with its long-term goals. The collaboration between the bookkeeper, CFO, and tax accountant is essential for optimizing a business’s financial operations, with each role focusing on different aspects of the financial picture.
